OUT-OF-TOWN TEAM LODGING: Out-of-town teams are not required to reserve rooms through the Tournament Lodging. Teams wanting a discounted room rate must see Hotel Lodging on this website.
Sixty-four (64) man bracket-featuring teams from many parts of the United States. Double elimination format with attractive awards for the top eight (8) wrestlers per weight class.
A “Hard Luck” bracket will be formed for all wrestlers eliminated with a 0-2 or 1-2 record on the first day of the tournament.
LINE-UP REGISTRATION: All teams must register their line-up on-line by Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 5:00 pmPacific time. see Team Registration. CHANGES TO A TEAM LINE-UP MUST BE MADE AT THE TEAM CHECK-IN MEETING (example dropping a wrestler’s name, replacing a wrestler’s name, changing a wrestler to another weight class etc).
TEAM CHECK-IN: Only one representative is required to attend the team check-in on Tuesday, Dec 26th from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Changes to team line-ups can take place at this time.
WEIGH-INS:Weigh-ins begin at 8:00 am sharp. All teams must report to the designated weigh-in room for weigh-ins. All wrestlers must be present at the beginning of weigh-ins. Teams will be called to the weigh-in room on a first come, first serve basis. All team members must weigh together as a team. An additional 1-lb allowance will also be given at the Thursday weigh-in. CHANGES TO A TEAM LINE-UP MUST BE MADE AT THE TEAM CHECK-IN MEETING (example dropping a wrestler’s name, replacing a wrestler’s name, changing a wrestler to another weight class).
SEEDING: Only the top eight (8) wrestlers per weight class will be seeded. Seeding will be done after the Team check-in meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 26th. A computer will randomly draw all other wrestlers. Onlythe following four points of criteria will be used for seeding each weight class:
PREVIOUS YEAR’S PLACEMENT IN THE FOLLOWING TOURNAMENTS 1.'17 State Placement 2.Your states '17 Regional, District, Section Placement (The tournament just prior to your State Tournament) Calif. teams must use the CIF Placement NOT the MastersTournament 3.2016 Las Vegas Holiday Classic Placement 4.Current '17 record (to be used as a tie breaker only)
INDIVIDUALS: The top eight (8) individuals per weight class will receive attractive wooden plaques.
TEAMS: The top ten (10) teams will receive team awards. Additional awards will be given for outstanding performances.
