- ELIGIBILITY: Only accredited high school level teams that have received an invitation may compete.

- ENTRY FEES: $300 per team. Team entry fees are due with the completed invitation by October 31, 2008. Checks must be made out to Las Vegas Sports Committee and mailed to Larry Barnson, Las Vegas Sports Committee, 1820 Cypress Greens Ave, Henderson, NV 89012.
- OUT-OF-TOWN TEAM LODGING: Out-of-town teams are not required to reserve rooms through the Tournament Lodging. Teams wanting a discounted room rate at the Las Vegas Hilton (next door to tournament) or Marriott Courtyard (across the street from the tournament) please see Tournament Lodging on this website.
- TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
- Sixty-four (64) man bracket-featuring teams from many parts of the United States. Double elimination format with attractive awards for the top eight (8) wrestlers per weight class. A “Champions Banner” will be awarded to the winning team for hanging in their wrestling room.
- A “Hard Luck” bracket will be formed for all wrestlers with a 0-2 record and losers of pigtail match if they occur.
- TEAM REGISTRATION: All teams must register on-line by Monday, December 15, 2008 (see Team Registration). CHANGES TO A TEAM LINE-UP MUST BE MADE AT THE TEAM CHECK-IN MEETING (example dropping a wrestler’s name, replacing a wrestler’s name, changing a wrestler to another weight class).
- TEAM CHECK-IN: Only one representative is required to attend the team check-in and seeding meeting on Thursday, Dec 18th at 5:00pm. Seeding is completed prior to this meeting. Changes to team line-ups will take place at this time.
- WEIGH-INS: Weigh-ins begin at 7:00 am sharp. All teams must report to the main arena for weigh-ins. All wrestlers must be present at the beginning of weigh-ins. Teams will be called to the weigh-in room on a first come, first serve basis. All team members will weigh together as a team. There will be a one (1) lb. allowance on Friday with a two (2) lb. allowance on Saturday: 104, 113, 120, 126, 131, 136, 141, 146, 153, 161, 172, 190, 216, 276. A one-pound weight allowance will be given at the second day weigh-in. CHANGES TO A TEAM LINE-UP MUST BE MADE AT THE TEAM CHECK-IN MEETING (example dropping a wrestler’s name, replacing a wrestler’s name, changing a wrestler to another weight class).
- SEEDING: Only the top eight (8) wrestlers per weight class will be seeded. Seeding will be done prior to the Team check-in meeting on Thursday, Dec. 18th. A computer will randomly draw all other wrestlers. Only the following four points of criteria will be used for seeding each weight class:
- PREVIOUS YEAR’S PLACEMENT
- '07 State Placement
- '07 CIF Placement (Calif. teams only)
- Your states Regional, District, Section Placement (The tournament just prior to your State Tournament)
- 2007 Las Vegas Holiday Classic Placement
- Current 2007-08 record (to be used as a tie breaker only)
- AWARDS:
- INDIVIDUALS: The top eight (8) individuals per weight class will receive attractive wooden plaques.
- TEAMS: The top ten (10) teams will receive team awards with the winning team also receiving a “Champions Banner” to be hung in their wrestling room.
- Additional awards will be given for outstanding performances.
